Meeting with the Directors of John Cooper Architecture

Updated: May 12

On the 10th May 2024 a detailed meeting between DWH and the directors of the internationally acclaimed UK based Architectural firm JCA.

John Cooper: John is a leading figure in healthcare design and has been a principal in practice for 35 years. He is actively engaged in reshaping the healthcare environment and improving and re-forming its architecture, combining an expert understanding of health planning with genuine design skills at both a strategic and a detailed level.

Hrafnhildur Ólafsdóttir: Having studied architecture in US and Scandinavia, she has over 18 years of experience of healthcare architecture combining extensive design skills with detailed knowledge of medical planning.  She has a keen interest in the contextual and urban issues that shape the design of hospitals as buildings of civic importance.

The meeting refreshed the strong desire to collaborate and reflected on the challenges DWH had faced in initiating the Hospital Project in Kashmir. Solutions to circumventing previous barriers, as well as a redefinition of the scope project was discussed.

JCA expressed a strong desire to support the initiative and this was most warmly and humbly received by DWH.
