The healthcare facility planned for Azad Kashmir aims to address critical health needs in the region, particularly focusing on Mirpur and its surrounding districts. Azad Kashmir is home to over 4 million people, with Mirpur District accounting for approximately 500,000 residents. The district is renowned for its vibrant diaspora, many of whom reside abroad but maintain strong ties to the area. Despite its relatively better infrastructure compared to other regions in Azad Kashmir, Mirpur faces significant healthcare challenges, including a lack of advanced medical facilities, limited access to specialised care, and high rates of preventable diseases such as hepatitis and tuberculosis.

The facility will be strategically located to serve not only Mirpur but also the adjoining districts of Kotli and Bhimber, collectively comprising over 1.5 million residents. Many of these populations are concentrated in rural and semi-urban areas where healthcare access is often hindered by financial constraints, geographical barriers, and inadequate infrastructure. By offering a wide range of medical services—including emergency care, maternal and child health, oncology, and advanced diagnostics—the hospital will bridge the healthcare gap and provide accessible, high-quality care to underserved communities.

With its state-of-the-art infrastructure and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, the healthcare facility is poised to make a transformative impact in the region. Its location near major road networks will ensure accessibility for patients across Azad Kashmir and even from neighboring areas in Pakistan. By integrating modern medical technology, expert clinical teams, and community-focused public health initiatives, the hospital will enhance health outcomes, reduce the burden of disease, and improve the quality of life for hundreds of thousands of people in Mirpur and beyond.
